Online appointments

On Wednesdays after 12.00 noon your calls will go through to Danby Surgery.

On Thursdays after 12.00 noon your calls will go through to Egton Surgery.

The surgery has suitable access for disabled people.

Appointments

We can usually fit you in for an appointment with a clinician on the day you choose. If the surgery is full you may be asked to come on the following day, unless the problem is urgent and then you will be seen by a clinician that day.

You may choose to see which ever doctor you wish but this may mean we are unable to offer you an appointment on the day of your choosing. You will be offered the first available appointment for the clinician of your choice. During some periods, such as holidays, there may be only one doctor on duty.

If you feel you have a condition which could be infectious please mention this to the receptionist when booking your appointment. Arrangements can then be made for you to use a side  entrance and wait to be seen in separate room.

If you are unable to keep your appointment, please let the surgery know.

Please consider registering for NHS App– this service allows you to book your own appointments securely online. To register please speak to reception staff.

Telephone consultations

If you feel you may not need to see the doctor but would like to discuss a problem over the phone, please mention this to the receptionist. They will arrange for the doctor, or the nurse if you prefer, to call you back after surgery.

Out of hours

If you need help outside our business hours, the answer phone message will give you the details you will need to contact an out of hours doctor.

Our receptionists answer the telephone during business hours Monday to Friday; at all other times there is a recorded message which will ask you to contact another number – please have a pen and paper handy.

Call NHS 111 for medical problems that will not wait until the surgery is open.

Dial 999 in any life-threatening medical emergency.
